Apple Cancels iPhone 14 And iPhone SE For Millions Of Customers

Crap is crap - and Apple's iPhones are crap that can no longer be sold.

Apple has taken the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone SE 3rd generation
off sale in 29 countries. For example, Apple has now confirmed that you can
no longer buy the crappy iPhone SE or iPhone 14 in one part of the U.K.

"In compliance with EU Common Charger regulations, we are unable to sell
this [crappy] device in Northern Ireland. Customers in England, Wales and
Scotland may still place orders for this [piece of shit Apple] device."

Given none of those phones meet multiple modern standards, it's no wonder
the EU forced Apple to care about its customer for the first time in
Apple's sordid history of hating its customer (but loving their money).

Apple should not be able to sell their crappy substandard phones in Europe.

FACTS:
a. The charging connector is non standard
b. The batteries are vastly substandard (far below modern standards)

Why Apple is allowed to sell that crap in the USA is another story.

So all of the non-Apple phones that can no longer be sold in the EU...

...are they all suddenly and automatically "crap"?

It's interesting that Apple has pulled those two models in light of the EU
regulations coming into force.

Do you know of other examples that have also been removed overnight on 29th
December?

Is there any practical restriction on someone with a BT postcode
ordering an iPhone from an address in England?

While NI is subject to EU customs rules, I'm not sure 'importing' something
that is banned from sale in the EU is covered, just like you wouldn't be
prevented from self-importing something from China that didn't meet local
regulations. I don't think the USB port is going to be part of
phytosanitary checks at Belfast docks.

What it could be is that, like many other companies, Apple has a unified
supply chain on the island of Ireland and perhaps the Apple Store in Belfast
is supplied from the Apple Store in Dublin. Because these models are banned
from sale in the EU, they can't be sold in Dublin and it's easier not to
supply any stock to Ireland, even if that stock could legally be sold in
Belfast or shipped to NI customers. It could also be complicated with
returns, if returns handling is in the RoI where they can't be sold.

Amazon will happily offer to sell me an SE (2022) or a 14 if I enter a
Belfast postcode.
