Received these yesterday (2 days sooner than expected).

Haven't been through all the features yet - but have used them for phone
calls, YouTube videos, music and Apple TV.

Sound quality is very good.
Comfort is not great - may need to return them for this reason. TBD.
Still playing with the different tips.

With noise cancelling on there seem to be some strange artifacts when
listening to some music. Need to listen more to check this out.

Sound quality can fall off when switching audio sources. For example
from listening to music (from Mac), picking up a call (iPhone) and back
to music ... seems to be a change in sound quality.

FaceTime audio calls are excellent.

The star is use with AppleTV: The sound staging is so perfect that I
thought the AirPods were not working. Turn your head and the
"direction" towards the voice remains the voice speaker under the
television. Even if you turn 180° from the television, sound becomes
"behind" you.

Remain to update MacOS and iOS to latest version to test latest
features; and remain to test while cutting the grass (electric lawn
mower) with noise cancellation.

Next month have to go downtown and will take the Metro - we'll see how
well the noise cancellation fares. Flight use too ...

In particular the Chicago live edition of "25 or 6 to 4" at Tanglewood
on YouTube (1970) has pretty good audio on loudspeaker but on the Pods
has better / sharper acoustic detail. (Note: the recording is 54 years
young).

They can hurt at first but typically your ears will get used to them.
Tip size doesn't have much of effect there, so I recommend using the Ear
Tip Fit Test to get the best seal to get the most out of ANC.

I'll give them one week.

Doesn't seem to be happening. The problem is not the auditory canal,
but rather the parts above the earlobe called the Tragus and
anti-Tragus[1]. Mine are close together, esp. on the right ear. As
such the pressure/friction are pretty bad.

[1] Yes of course I had to look this up.

It's only been a couple days since you bought them.

You may need to give it more time and patience, especially if you aren't
wearing them often.

I wore them most of Thur/Fri and all of yesterday morning. Wore them
for the last couple hours.

It's not about adjustment. It's about size - the thingies I mention
above are simply too close. Not everybody fits the same.

It's the same with my SO's regular AirPods - don't fit me well.

My wired Apple ear buds (2 sets) are no issue at all.

Lets look at that:

Old wired buds stem diameter: 4mm

Air Pods Pro stem diameter: 6.3mm.

Plus the "bulb" part of the Pro is significantly larger.

And that's all it takes to go from fine to uncomfortable.

Regrettably will be returning the Air Pods Pro 2. They do not fit my
ear (as described elsewhere under this Subject).

Left ear tolerable. Right ear at the point where removing the pod
causes sharp pain every time and generally irritation while wearing.

Too bad - otherwise a very, very good experience in all ways (though I
didn't get to test noise cancellation in objective conditions).

Fully recommended - as long as they fit comfortably.

That's too bad. My wife and I love ours and often wear them all day
long while we work etc. We both have multiple pairs, so when one needs
to be recharged, we just swap them out.

As I write this I'm back to my wired buds. Comfy - can wear them all
day (ick - gets sweaty) - but can.

Yes - too bad - otherwise enjoyed them very much.

Too bad they didn't work for you. If I remember right, there wer
some aftermarket ear pieces for these that people wrote about using.
Maybe look for something like that before giving up
